Making Lives Brighter is our passion and the Warehouse Manager plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution/delivery of all items received either from manufacturers, other store locations, or customers ensuring a smooth and consistent operation. Maintains efficient operations so parts and inventory are located and distributed/delivered properly to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. The position ensures the overall integrity, cleanliness, and safety of a small facility and supervises 2 associates, with ocassional management of sales associates.
Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire as warehouse and driver associates.
Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse and driver associates; ensures their ability to safely operate handling equipment to move inventory to and from warehouse; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse and distribution center mission in a safe, effective manner. Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all inventory. Researches inventory handling equipment to ensure procurement of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability and cost.
Monitors the unloading of all inventory into the receiving department; ensures inventory is staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately list inventory received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and received reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversees the movement of inventory from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
Monitors defective merchandise and coordinates with sales representatives and vendor customer service departments and buyers to order replacement parts or returned goods authorizations.
Oversees the supplying of inventory for assembly or disassembly for placement in the showroom or customer delivery. Ensures inventory is stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
Monitors and measures receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of shipping and receiving reporting, movement and storage of inventory, and transfers.
Provides an exceptional customer experience, both internally and externally by effectively handling multiple tasks/requests. Troubleshoots issues and offers successful results.
Oversees the daily schedules for deliveries and service calls.
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
This position works in a retail warehouse/showroom setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, conveyor belts, hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some overtime may be required.
Some travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
2. 3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or inventory management in a distribution center, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. B.S. or B.A. degree in business management, industrial management or related field
